Isoline maps show a 3-dimensional figure in a 2-dimensional map. Since it is 2-D it is a completely flat map. This map shows the concentration of people in China. Mainly East China. In the top left it mentions the Grand Canal and East China. There are also contour lines which show relief since it is a 2D figure.
